Cleaning Tomato Stains from Plastic ware with lemon

Firstly, it’s very impossible to deodorize a plastic container that has been microwaved with a tomato stain. The explanation Is that the heat from the microwave would have baked the tomato sauce and allow residue to stay permanently in the containers. It is more advisable to use glass dishes or ceramic whenever you want to microwave your tomato sauce.

But if you haven’t microwave the plastic yet, you can use lemon juice or baking soda on the stains, the result comes out fine.

First, scrape off any remnant of food in the container and cut the lemon in two equal halves.

Rub the fleshy side of the lemon on the inside of the container

Expose the container in the sun for about an hour until the lemon juice has dried

Take the container to the sink and give it a good wash. It’s all done…….you can now use the fresh and clean plastic again!

Using Baking Soda on stained Plasticware

Your baking soda can also be of great use when you need to clean your plastic wares.

You’ll need to get the following items like

Baking soda, Water and A small bowl

Make sure all remnants of leftovers and sauce have been wiped out of the container.

Ensure that all the remaining leftovers have been wiped off, mix a little baking soda in the bowl till it forms a thick paste then spread the paste inside the container and leave it for about 15 minutes.

You can now rinse the container in a clean tap water repeatedly.
